We soon decided on the deployment of the sub units and site for the Medium Machine Gun. Khajoor singh went back and got the subunits guided and deployed them as per the plan.The time was 2AM. I went around my subunits and briefed them of the need to remain silent and exercise strict fire control..The men were motivated and itching for action. They quickly dug trenches with the entrenching tools they carried. I gave an all clear message to the Battalion Hq and suggested the immediate move of the unit to reach before first light and that I would send guides.
