Section 3 – Letters to the Editor CV 2 No. 02 / 2020 Page 34 of 237 Section 3 – Letters to the Editor Dear Editor, AFVOA Newsletter, LOCKDOWN PURSUITS… The Lockdown has not dampened the ardour of the AFVOA. The Management Committee has stepped into the breach by offering delectable programs every fortnight to make up for the loss in our BI Monthly meets at the Palm Grove Institute! What a wealth of subjects, each unique, interesting and illuminating, besides inspiring offerings of various pursuits waiting to be explored. Nuances of Comedy in Theatre and Films, Historical Perspectives, Musical Interludes, Travelling over Continents, Wild Life Photograph, each 'treat' stands apart in its unusual flavour and import! Viewing brother officers/ spouses, friends we haven’t met in ages! it certainly makes one feel we are indeed a part of this great Tri-Services Family! Each meet takes me back to wonderfully great memories of time Col.Rajan and I had spent with others, as a couple. Very well conducted, with the right notes of cordiality, and spirit -de-corps, each meeting has been a delight to participate in. I sincerely hope we do not do away with this format once the lockdown is lifted and we are back to our bi-monthly meets. We could continue this in the months we do not meet!! Thanking the President, Secretary and the Management Committee for their sincerity and magnificent handling of the Lockdown pursuits of the AFVOA. I take this opportunity to thank the Managing committee on this wonderful exchange! sincerely, Premilla Rajan
