The membership increased, attendance improved the interest taken by the new entrants was encouraging and there was a sense of participation and willing cooperation exhibited by all members. Some of us married off our children and a few of us were elevated to the status of Grandparents and the oldest one amongst us Lt Col Vijaya Rangan became a great grandparent .We lost a few of our brother officers, parents and our dear wives. A few sustained injuries and suffered ailments. Some others had to undergo traumatic experiences and hospitalization - but life carried on. Editorial Committee under the computer savvy Brig VA Subramanyam, took over as the honorary editor of our Newsletter in the beginning of the year 2000. He was assisted by ”Five Pandavas” Muthu, Krishnaswami, Viswanathan, Narayanan and Ravi Mani. Our First publication 1 of 2000 received the appreciation of the readers as a welcome step. Economy does not mean miserliness, it means concern for public assets and dedication to the organization for the trust reposed. Additionally Col Narayanan would deliver a number of copies using his dependable two-wheeler. We under took challenging assignments to help ourselves and brought out useful handouts to help the community at large - like Preparation of Wills, Actions to be taken Y
