AFVOA Newletter August 2020

Section 6 – eConnect Reviews CV 2 No. 02 / 2020 Page 220 of 237 “Mahanubhavas” (meaning people who possess great prowess and who are dignified, noble, glorious, magnanimous, exalted and illustrious) and quoted the first line of the famous krithi of Saint Thyagaraja in Telugu “Entharo mahanubhavulu anthariki vandhanamu” to convey the gratefulness of a gracious patriot that she is. Smt Vishaka is the undisputed ‘Mahanubhava’, much more than the veterans she alluded to. Her super charged patriotic fervour energised the audience manifold. A very heartening bonus it was to see her traditionally attired son, Master Rajagopala Hari, a budding Harikatha artist himself at his tender age, sitting in rapt attention through the session and instinctively joining his mother in all the songs. Thanks to professional help extended by Smt Vishaka Hari’s Co-ordinator Ms Nirmala, our Zoom session today was linked to live streaming in their YouTube channel. The viewership of the session exceeded 800. Coming as it did in the wake of AFVOA’s website launch on Apr 07, 2020, the members can be justifiably proud of the scaling up of the Association’s reach and visibility, all in a matter of 48 hours. The Managing Committee would like to place on record its appreciation for Smt Vishaka Hari and her Team for this watershed event in the history of AFVOA. She has been awarded several titles and has raised funds through her programs for several social causes. A staunch believer in the Guru – Shishya parampara, she humbly credited her Gurus for her success. It is no wonder that the grace of her gurus is fully upon her. The members of AFVOA hold Smt Vishaka Hari in sheer awe and wish her many more happy landings in her chosen line of propagating the Harikatha art form, preserving, hand holding and handing over our culture and values to the nextgen. In our unique style, let us raise a toast for Smt Vishaka Hari’s continued success and scaling of new heights! JAI HIND
